Flavour
This Taiping Houkui features two leaves embracing a bud, with a flat, straight appearance and a deep green, uniform color. The dry leaves are covered in fine, glossy tea fuzz.
The aroma unfolds in layers, beginning with a rich roasted chestnut note, followed by the sweetness of ripe fruit, and finishing with a lingering orchid fragrance. The liquor is a clear, bright green, resembling jade infused with spring water.
The first sip is delicately sweet, like the gentle touch of morning dew under soft light, with a smooth and silky texture. As the tea deepens, the roasted chestnut and fruit notes become more pronounced, reminiscent of whispered conversations beneath a shaded tree, carried by a passing breeze. In the final moments, a lingering sweetness blooms on the tongue, the signature "Hou Yun" charm echoing softly. The warmth of floral notes lingers, like an orchid bud cradling a drop of honey.
