Flavour
Tianjian opens with the distinctive aroma of pine smoke and stewed fruit, followed by warm notes of dark sugar and a touch of floral honey. The finish reveals deep, aged woodiness that lingers gently.
The dry leaves are dark and glossy with tightly twisted strands. Once brewed, the liquor is a bright amber-red, reminiscent of molten garnet. On the palate, the aged character of Anhua dark tea intertwines with the smoky and fruity notes, softening the sharper edges of the pine smoke and enhancing the roundness of the underlying sweetness.
A subtle cooling sensation rises in the throat, as if the tea had absorbed both time and fire—its quiet intensity brought back to life in boiling water, offering depth, clarity, and warmth in every sip.

3. Pour boiling water (100°C) to fill about one-third of the cup. Rinse the leaves briefly, then discard the rinse water.
4. Refill with hot water until it reaches about 1cm below the rim. Let steep for 2-3 minutes before drinking.
5. Re-steeped once, with a slightly longer infusion time.
