Flavour
The aroma opens with fresh bud notes and a touch of plum, followed by a distinct honeyed sweetness at the center. The finish reveals a blend of light floral and woody undertones. Made from Yunnan's large-leaf varietal, Ban Zhang Pu-erh is known for its bold character and enduring strength—its vibrant flavor can easily carry through ten infusions with lingering depth.
The liquor is a bright, golden yellow, and the infused leaves are thick, uniform, and lively. Upon the first sip, a powerful burst of mountain energy fills the palate—a wild and untamed sensation reminiscent of walking into the ancient rainforest of Xishuangbanna. It is at once intense and refreshing: humid heat dissolves into cool rain, and the rising mist clings to the senses.
The tea flows across the tongue with a strong, warming body and is quickly followed by a crisp, cooling finish. Wild honey notes enhance the experience with a rich, chewy sweetness. The aftertaste is long-lasting and dynamic, with a potent returning sweetness and salivation that coats every part of the mouth in a honey-like finish.
